All – oh, wonderfully inclusive word.
No exceptions,
nothing left behind,
nothing excluded in the fine print.
No exemptions like…
"unless your anxiety/mess is your own foolish fault…"
"unless your anxiety/mess is something you ‘should’ be able to handle on your own.”
"unless your anxiety/mess is one we've already discussed a few times."
All, all, all.
I will spare you my list, my catalog of cares, mostly first world worries, with a few third world bits thrown in which I had been carrying on someone else’s behalf. But I will say this much, that stuff can get mighty heavy, and it took up quite a bit of space in my soul and in my journal when I listed all I wanted to toss. (**I highly recommend you create your own toss list.**)
On Him – God, the Almighty One, creator of heaven and earth, my rock and salvation, my fortress, my refuge and shelter, yes, that’s Him!
Because – for this one –ONE- one and only reason:
He – the very One described above
Cares – is specifically interested in, takes note of, is concerned about and interested in
For – wait for it…
You. Me.
Oh to be reminded again by the One of the value of mine own one-ness.
He. cares. for. me.
Not just for the list, but for the list maker.
Not just for the worries but for the worrier.
,
Not just for this and that, but for this ONE.
Me.
I matter to Him.
He. cares. for. me.
I hold it to my weary heart for the treasure it is.
This truth is mine, wholly mine. I am thrilled; it is "mine own."
Thank You, dear God, for this reminder, this gift, this rare gem shining with the glint of glory.
I can hardly believe it is mine, this priceless jewel.
The value is in the finding.
I want to hold it tight so I don't lose it.
I could never trade it in, exchange it, or sell it.
This fortune I can best redeem by holding it fast and letting it redeem me.
